In the Global Configuration. In the Joomla1.0 Admin Panel go to: Site -> Global Configuration -> Server (Tab)

It was set to of so that was ok then. I have set the Debug Mode in the mambot to On. Is that right? And how do i know that the speed is working? You are talking in the forum om putting "debug=1" Where should i put that?

Debug mode turns off the mambot. The mambot will only be turned on if you place debug=1 in the URL. For example, on your homepage.
http://example.com/index.php?debug=1

As far as knowing if it is working. The best way is to install the YSlow extension in Firefox, as well as the Firebug extension.

Take a look at the number of HTTP requests, they should decrease. Examine the file sizes, they should decrease. Overall load time should decrease.
