Core Hack needed for joomla 2 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello

I am still trying to get geshibot to work with joomla (not as dumb as it sounds) with joomla stripping html code and converting special characters i do not see how i can get this plugin to work. Which i really want to.

I have done the whitelist/blacklist thing and made sure my FCK editor is set correctely.

I have found this thread where some says they altered a bit of code in the filiterinput.php . this did not work for me.

http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=1689996

Does anyone have any experience with this problem or even a solution.

Thanks

shoulders

You can either user <pre> or {geshibot} tags. Using <pre> requires that you disable the WYSIWYG editor. (It is the wysiwyg editors that do the html entities conversion, not Joomla)
Using {geshibot} allows you to use the editor.

I had this same problem. It's not a geshibot problem, by joomla itself. There was a patch released, by I just upgraded to latest release and this has fixed the problem (1.5.10).

Joomla does strip out code (can be fixed by the whitlist / blacklist thing), but the WYSIWYG also strips and messes with code, the effects change with different editors.

Thanks for the info.
