Installing the Live Users Module

The Live users module installs like any other Joomla/Mambo module. User the online module installer in the Joomla/Mambo Admin Panel. However, make sure you already have the AjaxChat Component Installed or the module will not function correctly.

How to install a Joomla Module

When in the Admin Panel, on the top menu go to Modules -> Install/Uninstall. You will see now a list of modules already installed on your site. Under that list you will see "upload new module" section. (under that you will see a list of directories. be sure that all that directories are writeable)

Press "browse" and go to package you want to install. Select it and upload the file.

The next screen will show you if the module was installed succesfull.

Go to Modules -> Site modules and Select the module and click on the "Edit Icon" to edit the module parameters. Publish the module.

Customizing the Live Users Module

Mod_liveusers is very flexible, while it supports a wide range of third party components. If you know of a third party component that you would like mod_liveusers to support, please contact us with the component name and homepage.

In order to customize any Joomla/Mambo module, you need to edit the module parameters.

To edit module parameters go to the Joomla/Mambo Admin Panel. In the top menu go to Modules -> Site Modules and select the Live Users Module. Click the "Edit Icon" to edit the module. The params are listed on the module Edit Page.
