Joomla Tagbot is a mambot/plugin that gives visitors to your site the ability to bookmark any article (content item) in one of the many Bookmark or Tagging sites such as Digg.com, Furl.net, Spurl.net, Del.icio.us etc.

How to use Tagbot

To use the tagbot, simply click on one of the links or icons for the bookmarking sites. If you are not registered at the bookmarking site, the site will ask you to register. After registration, you can bookmark all the articles, on any site that uses the Tagbot, to your favorite bookmarking site.

Joomla Tagbot Installation and Configuration

• Download the latest version of Joomla Tagbot Plugin from our Joomla Tagbot Project.
• In your Joomla Administration Panel, go to Installers -> Mambots and upload the Joomla Tagbot Installation package you downloaded.
• Go to the Mambot Administration Panel: Mambots -> Site Mambots, choose the "Joomla Tagbot " plugin from the list and choose "Edit" to edit the parameters.
• Publish the Plugin.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add an unsupported Bookmarking site to the list of supported sites? Each bookmarking site has a corresponding XML information file in the /mambots/content/tagbot/tagsites/ folder. You can use an existing XML file as a template, and create your own for a particular boomkarking site. Do not forget to email your XML file to me ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  ) so I can include it in the next release of Joomla Tagbot.

Is Tagbot xHTML Compliant? Yes, it is fully xHTML1.0 compliant. You will however need to turn off your Joomla Global Content cache in the Global Configuration. I've managed to find work around for this cache problem that will work 99% of the time, and it will be implemented in the next release of Joomla Tagbot Plugin.
